Bio 1 Contact Information: 'Email Addresses' as a default

It would be great to be able to choose which tab in constituent record contact information section is shown when the constituent is opened. Some organisations are much more interested to see existing and valid email addresses than phone numbers.

This is something that could be added to the user options.

    I'd love to see this! We rarely phone our constituents, but email them regularly!

    This should be a selectable option. Maybe the tabs can rearrange.

    I'd like the option to select, like we can select what tab out of bio 1, bio 2, and so on, that the record opens to.

    Absolutely! We email our constituents much more regularly than making phone calls. Woudl be nice to have the email tab as the default tab instead.

    This is a frequent complaint at our organization. As others have said, this should be configurable in User Options

    Communications is almost purely online now. Anyone that speaks to a constitient should see immediately if we haven't got a valid email address for that person so that it can be captured.

    Email address should be one of the first things that are seen when logging onto a constituent record on Raiser's Edge.

    I would like that option but I would prefer to see an option to turn the tabbing off and see everything in one place again.

    Default Email tab instead of Phone because we use Email more often.

    User option please! Of the 6 people in my of office, 3 would prefer the email tab, and 3 would want the phone tab, so even our small group is divided.

    Yes this would be a great improvement. We would make it our default as we don't use phones very often at all. Whether its should be done as a user option or not I think would be up to seeing how many would want phones showing first.

    While making "email" the default tab would suit the needs of my current organization, I don't believe it's the first choice for every org.
    Creating the functionality (user options) to select the default tab would be preferable, as it would allow each user to select the default that best suits their needs.

    To be fair to all Raiser's Edge users, I think user option would be best, provided it applied to all records on a user account.

    To add more flexibility to the program it would be ideal for users to choose which option they prefer through user options.

    Another vote for user option.

    In an ideal land, as DBA I'd like to set the default for all, and then allow users to adjust through User Options if they'd prefer something different.
    Again, in my ideal land, I'd be able to set the options differently for Organization records vs Individual records.

    Please make it a User Option. Depending on the task I'm working on, sometimes I want Phones first and other times I want Email first.
