View and access gifts from appeals records

It would be helpful to view and access associated gifts on an appeal record.

I have often thought about this. Sometimes when I am in the appeal record I wish I could see a list of the gifts.

Um - this is possible and likely always has been. Open an appeal and go to View in the menu bar and select gifts.

I think my end-users just want to see just a tab that says "gifts" and lists donor names, notes, etc. Like you see on the constituent record. I think what you can see through this method is minimal (they want more columns, or to be able to add/delete columns from the view), and that criteria pop-up window scares people off and they run to query. What they see when they use the appeal summary also limits the columns. And even though is isn't hard to run, they feel like they need technical help with it. There is also concern about it saving the parameters of what gifts to include from one run to the next. Or when bouncing between appeals.

I get around it by setting up a dashboard for current appeals.

So then really this should be a suggestion to allow users to select the column they see when they view gifts from appeals. That is a different suggestion altogether.

Thanks Nicole, that's more what I was after - we also have dashboards set up to get around this problem. The problem we have is the multiple steps to get to the gifts - often we want to look at a bunch of gifts and appeals quickly, and going through the process of viewing gifts each time is tiresome.

I find it quite easy - tiresome is quite a strong word and there are many things in RE that I would describe that way but view - gifts is pretty straightforward.

I also have a folder in query that has a bunch of what I call "FIND" queries and ther is one called FIND gifts by appeal that is easily accessible - can be made a favorite and has an ASK operator for appeal and package.

I just can't vote for this because relative to the issues that have ZERO workarounds or have truly tiresome workarounds I do not want Blackbaud programmers spending their time on this.
